days passed by so fast... and things seemed to stood still for my thesis... :(
i seldom recommend movies on my blog but tonight... i'm gonna recommend 2 great movies!
Public Enemies
this is a veri good show i must say... the settings of this movie is great and with 2 of the hottest properties in hollywood, johnny depp and christian bale depicting the roles in their due diligence, its worth the price to watch! i like the shooting scenes and they are so real la! and dear was so sad on why bad guys have to die in the end... but no choice... the director instruct de... lol...
The Hangover
met up with st n wilson for lunch and movie todae... st strongly recommend this show which i gave it a couple of thoughts/doubts. theres no advertisements on this movie, i knw nuts abt the storyline and basically, i knew nothing abt this movie b4 i went in. but... tat doesnt mean my expectations will drop? haa... the storyline is veri detailed, funni and keeps u in suspense! a perfect movie for couples and frens. theres twists and turns and each time, u will have a veri good laugh. its something like chuck n larry but the laughter is 50% more? catch it n have a good laugh! hoho... and... if u watched this movie, can u tell me how the chicken got into the hotel room? hahaha... this is the part that i cant fig it out... lol... thats why i gave it 9.9/10? HAHA

my cute sis locked her room door before she left for hostel. and my cute mom closed it after she left to keep it free from dust. so... their cute bro n son had to hammer the door knob and pry the door open while the poor boy is down with heavy flu from the courtesy from deary... nw u knw who is the victim from both occasions? hahaha...
the hammering part is fun i think... cos u can hammer with all ur might? a great way to destress and workout as well... haha... here comes the big prob. how to change the door knob? lol

Liverpool 5 - 0 Singapore
caught 25 mins of this match live on channel 5 and i couldnt stand wat i saw on tv. liverpool were wearing black while singapore was in their usual home grd red color. and the fans? they were in red... but not supporting singapore though. they were wearing liverpool red jersey.
i knw singapore soccer team dont play fantastic football but seriously... i felt so ashameful to be called a singaporean tonight. not only they kanna wacked, the most disheartening part are the supporters. they cheered when liverpool surged forward to attack and scored. if u look purely at the supporters, u might thought liverpool are playing at anfield. i dont rem got any events that we looked so happy to be thrashed, cheer and celebrate in this manner. where is the passion? its so ironic when NATIONAL DAY is ard the corner. i think its a disgrace. at the end of the day, we had to give them a trophy to commemorate this event. and wat... they came to town, earned the big pile of money and had a good laugh at us. its a national joke.

dear finally settled her hp le! finally... cos we been trying to settle this outstanding matter for weeks? everytime something jus cock up and screw our plans. including todae. sometimes, i don realli understand how hp operators doing their business. the model is out of stock and even if there is, the pple on the registered list will have the 1st priority. so, can they use 0.00000001% of their brain not to put that particular hp on the HOT PROMOTIONS? its senseless.
luckily, dear n i came across a shop tat i believe conduct business in a more customer oriented manner that those stupid operators. dear bought G700 sony ericson hp w/o line from the shop and intended to recontract her hp plan and sell the hp to the same shop and use the cash to offset the money she paid for the G700. the shop owner was nice enough to come and find us at singtel shop as it is difficult and troublesome to dicuss which hp brand n model to recontract and wats the highest amt hes willing to take in. on top of that, his personal philosphy is that he want his customers to get the highest value from this transaction. not by the model that he wans. in the end, we settled for a $0 hp and he paid us $180. personally, i find it a veri good deal.
furthermore, if theres any prob with the G700 within the warrantly period and we urgently need to repair the hp, we can pass it to him and he will send to sony ericson service centre and get it done within 2 days. last but not least, the staff went to the trouble to get screen protector for dear twice which they gave deary for free as part of the customer service... haha...
speaking of this staff... i find his a real cockster la... we went to the shop on sat to enquire abt the G700 and we ordered it on the spot. he said that the stock will be here on mon and he gaves us his namecard so that we can call on mon to double check. at tat point of time, he was crushing all the empty hp boxes. wat he did was he put all the boxes on the floor and stepped on them. i was thinking... why not u jus open all edges? that will be faster lor.... i called him on mon to doublecheck if the hp is here. and his reply was.... o... u need to pay deposit wor... and when i asked him why sat he nv say lei... i cant sense that his reaction was "ops..." the best part was today... we saw our hp box was on the shelves the moment we stepped into the shop. and when he attended to us, he stood and stared at the selves for quite long... trying to look for the hp. the owner told him its at the top shelf and he still couldnt find it. so... he took a few steps back and start jumping. like tat u can see where is the box clearly meh... lol... n the owner was quite irritated that he say him... "eh... look carefully n open ur eyes la... its here...." the actions are so damn funni la... initially my perception of this shop, genuine mobile was quite bad... cos all the pple there all are ah bengs... smoke... dyed hair... tattoos... but i feel they are quite nice actually... but most impt, they go for win win situations!

finally... i settled my stupid e71 once and for all le... things took a toll on me last night. i couldnt call, sms and receive calls. this is so damn frustrating. finally i got a 1 to 1 exchange and it came with a price. i had to educate them wat is sales of goods act and give a lecture on contractual obligations and fit for purpose. some arguements that the MANAGER gave are just too ridiculous. think of it, i can tell that she is desperately thinking of reasons to say its my FAULT for buying a SPOILT HP.
dear told me something funni todae. a colleague of hers was resigning. the reason? cos its too boring and slack over at DSTA. her department was so slack la... and dear was working n slogging like a bull? the best part. she got paid $4.5k jus to slack n relax and knocked off at 6pm? and sometimes, she had to deliberately stayed till 6.30pm cos she will paisei to go off at 6? i was thinking. why not she use the time to;
1) set up a "reading" corner. something like our dr. asanga. an armchair with a cosy looking lamp. condusive env to slp.
2) rear coil fish. spend a couple of dollars to buy those young ones. rear them to full-grown and u can sell them for a quick and good profit? u can rope in engineers for this proj. M&E eng to settle the water pipes? Professional eng to settle the structural works to support the fish tank? LOL
3) grow those peng zai? take good care of them and when the MD or CEO is retiring, give it to them as a present. u will get promoted realli fast. it will be better if it comes with the shape "DSTA".
internship is finally over but i realized i still got plenty of things to do... hope i can slack and cleared them by the time sch starts.

finally, we are gg to site. even though its merely a 2 days trip, its better than nothing.
if u were to ask me if my intern company is my ideal company, i will say hell no. han said even if they pay him 3k, he wont even think abt it. but i think the starting pay is even 3k lor... even though its a PUBLIC LISTED company, its super stingy and adopted sever cost cutting? if u were a shareholder, u cant find anything to shoot them with regards to money matters. an incident happened todae... we knocked off at 6pm and we will take the company van out to tanah merah mrt station at 6.05pm. but... everyone was summoned back to the office today and turn out to be... CEO said we knocked off too early. so... the new knock off timing is at 6.15pm. wat the fuck u can do in 15 mins? and he spent most of the time walking ard office with the inspection look?
my e71 is spoilt again. 2 times within 2 weeks. this rate is better than a soccer striker's goal rate? best thing is... nokia care denied that they have 1 to 1 exchange policy. well, i shall create 1 if this damn hp spoilt for the 3rd time.

finally.... deary is not a student anymore!! haha... she had her convocation todae! haha... well, in the past when i attend sis's convo, i wasnt the least interested. maybe at tat point of time i wasnt esperienced enough to knw wats uni life all abt and the true meaning of it? but this time, the ceremony strike me right on the heart. i like dr john's speech abt our industry esp the green bldg masterplan. in spite of the industry expanding during these tough times, theres plenty more to come! now... all our bldgs, new and exisitng need to be substainable and environmental friendly. maybe thats wat SDE is for? sch to design for the env? lol... but first, i think i need to be environmental friendly by not littering? haha...
attending deary's ceremony i had several deep thoughts... the cert that u will be receiving is ur 4 yrs worthed of hard work and u spent much of ur time, effort, sweat and tears on it? i think i will be emotional when i receive it in a yr's time? i think i will kiss my cert on stage right in front of everyone. lol. theres also a speech given by a 1st class hons student from archi. her speech was touching and i can see some of the audience wiping of their tears? personally, i feel the tears are both sad and happy. its sad becos u had to move onto a new stage in life? every beginning starts with an ending. and seriously, i cant bear to leave nus even though i keep grumbling and so full of complains such as "wa pian eh... measurement gan phua difficult sia..." or "wa pian eh... the 96 hor... bloody hell one lei... so long la..." such things will always etched in our minds and be deposited into memory lane... on the other hand, its happy cos after spending some many yrs of studying, we finally had the chance to step out into the working world? i knw its not easy, nor its difficult. but i'm looking forward to this challenge and also to my dream of being a PM? i'm jus so eager to embark on this new journey and the start of my legacy?
4 more days! sushi buffet lunch next week. any takers? haha... if everyone feels everyone is getting fat, we can organize a jogging outing. lols.

its a frustrating day. as i mentioned in my prev posts, i dont like to blog abt work. but i jus cant help but rant! and also, at the same time update frens impt things to look out for when taking off.
5 forms of profession: architect, draftsman, checker, design engineer and qualified person, 5 pairs of eyes. or maybe more if the idiots are wearing contact lens or spects. and they can get the damn bloody scale wrong. this is a veri veri basic thing and this bunch of fools can get it wrong? wats worse, we had COMPLETED our measurement. GREAT. now poor mr han have to halve the dimensions. luckily its straight forward and they cut off the project information and the names cos its a confidential proj. else....
some jokes to enlighten everyone. i was eating ice mango desert with deary when i came upon this theory;
if u eat it in an artistic way, u are an architect.
if the ice doesnt collaspe, u are PE.
if u can coordinate everything, u are PM.
if u can determine how mani scoops to finish the desert, u are QS.
if u didnt dirty the table, u are FM.
LOL.
8 days to go! one way to quit internship and u need at least 1 person to carry out this divine plan. this is how mr han n i will work it out in our case.
1) 2 of us walk and approach each other when our bosses are ard.
2) i deliberately banged into han.
3) han gets angry and confront me. we then push each other.
4) i then slap han or either way round.
5) the person kanna slap will chase after the person who slapped him.
6) both of u run as far and as fast as u can and nv go back!
WHAHAHAHA. sounds stupid but i think it works. haha
