todae marks the end of the weekend. moody feeling again... cos i need to iron my clothes! but i realli enjoyed this weekend!

sat was spent with dear at east coast park cycling. dear was not a veri good rider and she fell shortly after we embarked on our journey to cycle the whole east coast park. and she had a pretty bad fall. the worst was the patch on her palm and she was practically flat on the grd... but i think she was brave enough to pick herself up and carry on? if i were a girl and with such a bad fall, i will just return the bike and went home to nurse my injuries... haha... met a helpful couple who offered us a bottle of water and tissues. at least theres good singaporeans like us! we managed to accomplish our objectives but we met some near accidents caused by irresponsible kids. jus feel like banging into them and making them fly la.

but the funni thing is... when dear fell, everyone was blaming me wor.. shao and parents? esp my father. well, i'm not peter cech? haha... but this shows that dear had a veri impt place in their heart? sob sob... LOL

todae was spent with deary again watching recorded tv... n we managed to clear quite a bit? yeah yeah... hope no mondae blues tmr...

when i reached workplace this morning, i found out that 4 of my colleagues were wearing the same clothes as yesterdae, including my boss! turn out to be, they work thru the night to prepare for the tender which is due todae. this is so scarly. and my colleague said: "one sign that tells me its morning. its when i see u." this is definitely not the life i wan to be for my career.

on the good note, me n han had nothing for todae. and we practically sit there n do nothing except to read some useless stuff? basically we were there jus to warm the air. cos the aircon is too cold? and the 4 of them went home... so... the dept is down to 2 perm staff and us. haha... theres another tender next week which means that our site visit is pushed back. but... one thing for sure, i'm not gonna stay overnight!

so... due to boredness, i had no choice but to...

haha...

results are out... i am damn disappointed with fac planning. ARH

it came to my notice abt something. i had frens who had super low EQ. jus make me wanna laugh at them. HAHA

results out tmr. nail-biting.

our 1st case of H1N1 virus. thank u SMU. u r great. and now, 3 more cases. i think next yr to promote prospective students to admit into nus? contract H1N1 virus. or maybe H1N2? or watever. look at the publicity they got. they set the whole singapore talking and it makes it funni to even get dr kua to talk abt his passion. maybe next yr they will put up a poster. "WE ARE THE 1ST. 1ST IN H1N1." LOL.

going to site office for 5 weeks! 3 weeks at jun yuan pri, which is just below my house and 2 weeks at jurong. gosh. but i hope i will learn something good? its been a good experience so far... todae is a happy day! cos we did totally nothing after lunch and we jus sit there n chit chat? we jus seemed to be totally invisible. hahaha... nobody said anything. even our bosses. and i cleared han's doubt. u wan a 60 million proj or 1k worth of interns? haha

hope for another slack but learn something day tmr... haha

last night... i "hope" todae will be a better day... well... me n han had OT till 9.30pm todae... and we will be seeing each other in less than 12 hrs time. sounds weird right... dear sure sae... u see him more than i see u... LOL... but we got free mac todae. as our pay is $2.9+ per hr, at least we sort of "earn" the free meal. haha

work todae is not tat bad though. we were assigned to measure LUP for precincts. and i was like... MEASUREMENT! gosh. we did not have anything measurement bible with us and most prob, we will jus sit there n stone. but, we got it done todae! haha... i was surprised that i managed to figure things out. esp in 3D form.

guess tmr will measure structural drwings le ba. good luck to me. haha

so quick updates over the weekend...

fri met up with my mates for dinner at astons. the food was real yummy! highly recommended. good food at a good price. u should try the ribeye steak and the fried chicken! haha... its so yummy tat i bring deary back on sat! hahaa... impressive right... and we chance upon this super cute baby! she jus cant stop smiling... haha...

we went to watch night at the museum 2. the show managed to entertain me even though some scenes were similar to part 1. but its still nice...

stayed for OT for half an hour with han todae... the funni thing is... we always assumed a lot of pple will stay back cos the tender is on fri. but when we went out of the meeting room, the office is empty. LOL

a better tmr awaits.

wed is here! 2 more days and the week will be gone! haha...

more PM to-bes.... a great piece of news!!! the current pay is at 8.6k per month. haha.... true and confirmed by the tender documents. but the bad point is, there is a clause stating u need to be contactable 24hours. how cool is tat. but with 8.6k, its good enough? haha... i can even sell my soul. LOLOL. with great power, comes with great responsibility.... with more money, comes with more sai kang. haha...

work todae was.... as usual. i can doze off within 5 secs flat. faster than a ferrari. the env is soooo yawny! imagine this, dull env with brown partition walls and even cupboards are brown! gosh. best joke of the day, our mr han went to shit 3 times. HAHA... u see his face u can tell his mood le... mine tooo... :(

2nd day at work. reading n reading and more reading! but the good thing is... han reported to work todae! so i'm not tat lonely... and the funni part is... he got even thicker contract documents to read than me! and its due on thurs i think... good luck to us!

seems like everyone is unhappy abt the internship... yw twisted 4th toe and 3 days mc for her... wt, xy, cindee n laura doing shit work i heard and hm stoning in site office... and dear was working longer hours than expected with shit roll down the slope? lets jus work hard pple!

3 more days too weekend! now i knw why everytime class 95 always count down to weekends... haha

1st day at work. not a gd sign. next week tender due and nothing is done yet? best thing is, i was assigned to read the contract documents and its A LOT. 6 lift upgrading projects at a go? and i think i hav to finish this whole pile by this week.

this is thicker than all the law notes lah! but 1 thing i like is... i will be assigned to a site?!?!?! and both are at tampines!! hoho... 1 is near the PIE and the other is at my house downstairs? jun yuan pri... HAHA... jus walk to work. but hav to stay in main office for 2 weeks. the working env is not bad though. the chief estimator is a nice lady and her boss which is my boss' boss is not bad too... we had lunch together and they still rem joel. haha... but the rest of my colleagues are not local. from vietnam de i think. except for 1 local guy who is in his mid 30s. guess me n han will be the youngest? haha...

one thing bad abt the firm is.... theres no reception at ALL. but i found out the place tat has it. how i found it? its when i go to shit. HAHA. hope tmr will be a better day. i shall eat lesser for lunch tmr. cos right after lunch from 1.30 till 5pm, i was fighting the yawny bug. i think some of them saw me dozing off? lol...

i am back! but i woke up with a lost feeling... i donno why... kind of miss thailand... maybe wat cindee said that time is true? when dawn came back from shanghai, she looked like she yi yi bu she the place... now i understand wats the feeling like?

every country has its own places of interests and history. but i feel wat makes a great country is its pple. no matter wats ur status, 1st world, 3rd world or developing country, its the attitute of the pple tat drives the real status of the country. from my experience, throughout the trip, i seldom get poor or attitude problem from the staff except from some isolated cases. i listed out some of my observations;

1. while having lunch at MBK shopping centre, we had to exchange money for food vouchers. the vouchers were issued in stacks of coupons and they will just sticked together even though u check multiple times b4 paying for ur food if u r paying the exact value. i ordered 2 dishes and both times, i gave extra amt. and both times, the same person passed me back the extra coupons?

2. its been raining for most of my trip and due to the defective construction of roads, its veri prone to water ponding. and in our local context, such cases will give rise to cars speeding past and making u wet and cursing in despair. but thats not the case in thail. the cars and buses will jus avoid the puddle of water or jus drive past slowing or even take up 2 lanes of traffic if needed. and u will nv get splashed by water? maybe this will not be applicable during new year. haha

3. its true that thail is full of traffic jams. but their road behavior is much better than us. once u signal, the car behind will jus give way to u? even though the jam is so freaking long? when they give way to each other, they will nodded their heads to say thanks. compare to us, we are worlds apart.

maybe its becos of their way of life, theirs is slow and relax and we are fast paced and KIASU. maybe their way of life suit me better? not that fast pace and the freedom to roam here n there... and best part of the deal, u lived like a king? if u bring abt 700 sing dollars for 6 days, its realli enough.

look at us. b4 the plane stopped, pple are off their seats and ready to move.

the worse part when i came back is the damn bloody stupid taxi driver. i knw u had been waiting since 4.30am for a cust but wat abt me? my fucking flight was delayed for 4 hours? after we got our luggage at 5.30am, we decided to shop for liquor and dear had to wait till 6am for her sk2 counter to open? and all our movements were caught and observed by this grumpy cab driver. he indirectly said to me... i don understand, why some pple wont pay a bit more for the double charge? go home faster ma... hang ard at airport shop for liquor like donno wat. (I BOUGHT LIQUOR?). i was real tired and find it senseless to talk to such pple and i jus briefly said that we were waiting for the counter to open at 6am. and this fucker jus keep going on and say singaporeans ar... when u hav the chance to buy u dont buy. when u don hav the chance to buy, u wan to buy. i don understand lor. this explains the reason why i dont take cab at all! this is the only trade where employees can scold employers. we gave them a living and tats the kind of service u got. i jus depise them even more. yes, we gave them a living and owe them a living. and mind u, we are the ones who can put u out of business too? are u with me pple?

some educational features during the trip! as u can see, the tap is on but no water came out. i was telling dear... according to prof cheong, as our room is situated right at the end, our water supply depends on the usage rate of the rooms before us. so no water nor. in the end, the water supply is down. HAHA

this stall serves the best prat thai and oyster! their food is similar to us but it tasted better? they got kway chap and char siew rice too? on our last night, the 3 of us had 6 servings of food! haha... best part is, u wont get food poisoning? the food is nice, edible and clean!

on the streets, they will sell animals like rabbits? veri cute and small... and less than s$10? chaptuchap also sell dogs and they are real cute and small! once u see them, u have all sorts of thoughts and ideas to smuggle them back? haha

more pics are still with deary... shall update again soon. this is one of the best trip of my life? i get to see the normal lifestyle and culture of the pple and also shopping! pple said that platium is for gals. but i don think so. ya... 80% of the shops are for gals but the remaining 20% of guys shops realli suck me dry. they said bring 3600 is good and more than enough. but i seriously doubt so... HAHA

a few hrs to go before my bangkok trip... packing almost done and alot of things are on hand and screaming for my attention? esp parents again... haiz. i knw they are worried but can i have some space? i knw how to take care of myself though. furthermore, the weather is getting warmer and warmer! and its making me more frustrated. i slp with the fan blowing at me and i can still sweat? and the freaking thunder-rain is disturbing my slp. when it rains, its super humid and wat makes things worse is i hav to get up to close the windows. damn.

finally... i am free!!! hahaha... an action-packed day of celebrations and i cant believed i stayed wide awake even though i didnt slp a wink last night... now waiting for my body to shut down itself. think i will be concussed tmr...

had sushi buffet at suki todae with the whole bunch and we were missing yw! haha... always 1 or 2 went missing de... haha... had a good lunch and we were making fun of xinyi and with plenty of jokes! haha... a great way to chill down after the exams... the winner of economy of scale went to wt todae! who is also the belated bdae girl... can u believed it? she ordered 4 servings of salmon twice and single-handedly finished 7 servings all by herself. we were all super impressed. guess she can eat a whole pig by herself... haha... w/o swine flu of cos... haha...

we watched movie while the girls went shopping at far east and the movie taken was quite nice. short n sweet is the ideal word to describe it... haha... and after the movie, the girls are still stuck at far east! haha... for 2 hrs i think? haha... think i better dont laugh... maybe i will be doing tat in bangkok... HAHA...

we went to play lan before and after the movie and it was a fantastic game! the only lan game i played in my life is counter strike and this game is here to stay for a long long time... hahahaha....

lastly, good luck to deary's last paper in her nus career tmr! shes been mugging hard n i believe she will do well tmr! hehe... so so looking for the trip next week... which means, i need to pack my bag le... sianz.... haha

the time has come... my last paper tmr. seriously... this paper... has so much to memorize!!! arh... 13 lecture notes with journals... wat can i sae... i already stuff my brain with a lot of stuff le... i jus scared it will exploded. actually, i think it had exploded last night le... i felt it contracting?!?! and it deprived me of my mental calculation? dear had 1st hand of it... i jus hope i will kill the paper tmr. dont be surprised to hear some guy screaming like hell tmr.

i feel so sianz now... todae is sunday. sooooooooo fast!!! arh... tmr got to start on quality le... these past 4 days had been realli slack and happy for me... sometimes i even forgot that my last paper is on thurs? my brain is already in hoilday mode le... need to get myself in the right mode tmr... to kill the last paper once n for all! haha...

had a few interesting counters...

have u ever seen a guy who watched movie w/o leaning or resting on the cinema seat? well, throughout my career of watching countless movies, i finally met my match. and hes sitting right in front of me with his turtle head popping out. throughout the show, i had the urge to pull his head back. BLAH.

i had seen plenty of fish delivery trucks on the roads and for the first time in my life, i witnessed the delivery process. the fishes are alive, packed in a large bag and placed in the styrofoam boxes. when they reached their destinated place, the guy will then take the large bag and overturn it a few times... i'm not sure why they did tat but i can see that the fishes are fighting for their lives amid the giddyness. afterwhich, he will untie the bag and pour half the water out? which makes the water in the bag even more limited... wats left in the bag is merely 1/10 of the water to keep their alive. somehow, i find it cruel even though sometimes i'm evil... but i'm not tat cruel to such extent? i was tat disturbed that i didnt take any pictures... i feel lucky... that i'm deliverying shoes, not fishes.
